Alloy description to know-
Grade 410 stainless steel is the martensitic general purpose stainless steel that is having 11.5% of chromium that is providing excellent corrosion resistance ability. The corrosion resistance of this grade steel can be enhanced further by a series of processes like polishing, hardening, and tempering. Tempering and quenching can harden the 410 steel grade. They are used generally for applications that involve mild corrosion, high strength, and heat resistance.
Martensitic stainless steel is fabricated by using the technique that needs final heat treatment. This grade is less resistant to corrosion when it is compared to the austenitic grade. The operating temperature is affected often by the loss of the strength at the greater temperature because of over-tempering and loss of ductility at sub-zero temperature.
