CORTEN A PLATES are weather resistant steel plates. The material becomes corrosion resistance because of its outer layer called patina. It provides additional prevention from corrosion. it is high strength grade and known for its unmatched strength and longer cycle life. These are mainly used in the conditions where the untreated alloys are desired. These plates come in popularity over the years; the producing mills develop their facilities for weather resistance plates.

CORTEN grade can be readily formed and weldable with standard shop fabrication process. These are rolled out from both hot and cold rolling process. These plates are annealed or heat treated to achieve the maximum corrosion resistance. After the hot forming process, these are quenched with water and rapidly cooled by air. The grade is ductile in nature and forms easily. It is induced to cold working operations that increase its hardness and hardness. Moreover, it leaves a magnetic effect on it. Most standard welding process can be used on it.
These plates do not require post-weld heat treatments. These are subjected to work hardening process during drawing. It is resistive to local and general corrosion in cyclic mild environments. it is resistive to pitting and crevice corrosion.

The tests are flaring test, hardness test flattening test, Mechanical properties testing, , and intergranular corrosion test, ultrasonic test, and radiography.
Other tests are a tensile test, positive material identifications, micro and macro test, chemical composition analysis, hydro testing, destructive/nondestructive test, pitting corrosion test and visual inspection. At last, third parties inspect the quality of products for assured quality. We offer MTC report as per EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2, NABL test report raw material test report, mill test report, quality assurance plan, heat treatment charts, stamping details, attested certificate by third parties and guarantee letter.
Other documents include Commercial invoice, specification guide, disinfection reports, packing list like net and gross weight, quantity and marks and number, Certificate origin by legalized manufacturers, incorporate chemical composition and hardness details after heat treatment.
Each of the packing is done according to the customer's norms. To the customers, plates are prepared in the form of bundles and exports in a wooden case, pallet and other standard packings. Moreover, these are covered with the thin film of plastic that prevents oxidation while exporting to overseas customers.
